An exploration of digital ride-hailing multisided platforms' market dynamics: empirical evidence from the Uber case study

A longitudinal examination of the transition to symbolic communication in the second year of life

Between 10 and 24 months of age, children progress from communicating through conventional signals to communicating through symbols in a variety of situations. The present study investigates this transition analysing mother–child communication frames and the child’s communicative acts, and tracing the developmental changes in both frames and communicative acts. Four children (2 girls, 2 boys) and their mothers were observed longitudinally and extensively, from 10 to 24 months of age, using a multiple case-study method. This article intends to explore the relationship between CLIL and literary education by considering the results of a case study involving the teaching of foreign literatures from an intercultural perspective in Italian secondary schools. In the first part we introduce a model of literary and intercultural communicative competence and in the second part we present a case study implemented in three secondary schools in Northern Italy. Customer data collection infrastructure and Customer Experience Management:The SAQ Case Study

Channel integration makes Customer Experience Management more complex and requires from retailers a regeneration of their value proposition. A longitudinal case study reveal a hierarchical sequence of operant resource triad: cultural mindsets, strategic directions for designing value propositions, and a dynamic system of capabilities for continually renewing customer experiences. The implementation of a customer data collection infrastructure, the adoption of an iterative and sequential innovation process, and the mobilization of cross-functional and multidisciplinary project teams, will help develop the firm’s dynamic system of capabilities.

Energy-environmental and cost assessment of a set of strategies for retrofitting a public building toward nearly zero-energy building target

Abstract The purpose of this study was to assess an energy retrofit of a building representative of those in public tertiary stock, to improve energy performance toward nearly Zero-Energy Building (nZEB) requirements. The building is located in the campus of the Politecnico di Milano University (Italy). Several hypothetical improvements regarding the building envelope and plants were assessed in terms of energy savings, costs, and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. It is commonly claimed that the initial stages of any startup business are dominated by continuous, extended uncertainty, in an environment that has even been described as chaotic. Consequently, decisions are made in uncertain circumstances, so making the right decision is crucial to successful business. Using organizational influence processes to overcome IS implementation barriers: lessons from a longitudinal case study of SPI implementation

A fundamental tenet of the information systems (IS) discipline holds that: (a) a lack of formal power and influence over the organization targeted for change, (b) weak support from top management, and (c) organizational memories of prior failures are barriers to implementation success. Our research, informed by organization influence, compellingly illustrates that such conditions do not necessarily doom a project to failure.
